The European Commission has presented on Wednesday the European Corps of Solidarity for young people who are between 17 and 30 years old. Will be able to participate in european projects volunteer, or even make jobs and paid internships related to programs that work with immigrants, education projects, food or health care, among other areas. As has explained the vice-president Kristalina Georgieva: "In this world there are that feed the sense of solidarity, but also provide youth with additional skills, to facilitate contact with organizations in which I am sure many of them will end up working."

The projects will last between two months and a year. Many have already been volunteers, such as this belgian 28 years he has been in Spain for 10 months in Bulgaria 6 months. Believes that this body will be very helpful: "If we have more answers, if we can get more attention, people will start to realize. I can participate, I as an individual can work for more solidarity. I think that has a lot of value".

The organizations have welcomed the initiative, but and wait for the arrival of these young people, as says André Felix, of the European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disabilities: "we welcome this initiative of the Commission. We have lagoons and the human resources expected to fill in these gaps with young people".

The goal is that 100,000 young europeans have been incorporated into this body by the end of 2020. Will be selected after a simple registration process..
