Recognize work of Telethon in favor of inclusion in the workplace – The Universal

The Fundación Teleton Mexico was selected from the 25 organizations deserving Global Recognition of Best Practices for Workers with Disabilities.

In a statement, the Foundation stated that it is a great honor to have received the Global Recognition of Best Practices for Workers with Disabilities 2016, being the only mexican organization distinguished at the level of global companies as Natura, Caterpillar, Cushman and Wakefield among others.

he said that the program of labor inclusion Telethon stands out as a practice that has worked more than 100 companies in Mexico, seeking to promote a new culture of inclusion, which allow the recruitment of staff with disabilities, within a framework of rights and respect for diversity, as well as constituting a service business of counseling and guidance in the design and implementation of your project for inclusion.

The event took place at the headquarters of the United Nations in New York city, the 2 of December of this year. the This event was created to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

In 2014, la State Secretariat for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Sao Paulo instituyó an award in recognition of companies who have workers with disabilities. He stressed that this year, in the preparation of its third edition, was held an international ceremony of recognition to good practices for the employment of people with disabilities.

The goal, he added, is to identify and highlight good practices of labour inclusion of people with disabilities, as well as to publicly recognize the successful initiatives as positive examples in the challenge of building organizations inclusive and designed for everyone.

Accessibility: considers the technology and architecture, as well as the use of supports and resources specific to persons with disabilities that require it.

organizational Culture: refers to the manner in which the information on the labour inclusion of people with disabilities is reflected in the values and practices of the organization.

Recruitment: takes into account the human resource practices in terms of processes of selection, retention and development of all employees, including those with disabilities.

Management: the level of inclusion in the hierarchy of posts of the organization and the participation of persons with disabilities, as well as the existence of a plan of inclusion.

Role: the impact and influence in the field of labour inclusion, not only within the organization, but also in the labour market, the media and society in general.

Fundación Teleton Mexico currently has been accredited and certified by public and private institutions as:

Great Place to Work Institute. Eight consecutive years as one of the Best companies to work for in Mexico, three consecutive years as one of the Best companies to work for in Latin america.
