Restlessness in Spain days before the election – Home Online

On June 26, Spain held its second general election in six months to renew the 350-seat Congress of Deputies (the Lower House of Parliament) and the 208-seat Senate (The House high of Parliament).

The elections of June 26 presented as novelty Unidos Podemos, the coalition can and Izquierda Unida to attend the general, which aims to displace Spanish Socialist Workers party (PSOE) to third place, a position they have never occupied the socialists in the history of Spain.

Spanish Analysts agree that the electoral landscape is similar to the elections last December 20, in which the PP won the majority of the deputies but was not enough to govern alone. To regain the PP, political groups have said they will not ally with the popular, however, can Izquierda Unida key maintains its differences with the PSOE, complicating a possible socialist government.
