Dutch forensic analyze whether body found in Utrecht is missing Dominican – Listin Diario (Press Release)

The experts of the Netherlands Forensic Institute analyzed whether a body found in the town of Utrecht (Midwest) corresponds to that of Sandra Garcia Geraldino a resident in the Barcelona town of Sabadell Dominican, who has been missing since 31 July.

Garcia, 45, a native of San Juan de Maguana, had moved to the Netherlands to hold a meeting with his former partner, who was “kidnapped” two daughters in common, explained to Efe a person close to the family who declined to be identified.

The woman was last seen on the evening of July 31 when he went to the home of his former partner, the Dutch 42 Silvester Landzaat, near which the body was found.

“We hope that forensic can confirm today whether the body found in Utrecht is the Dominican woman, Sandra Garcia, who disappeared, but still do not know with certainty, “a spokeswoman told Efe the Office of the Dutch region.

The Garcia family, who is in the Netherlands, is scheduled to go to the medical examiner’s office this afternoon to participate in a recognition of the corpse found.

The body was located in the vicinity of the housing Landzaat, who has been detained pending a first hearing to be held with the judge on Thursday said the spokesman.

If the judge finds sufficient evidence to prolong his detention, this could be extended to thirty days, renewable twice, sixty days or directly ninety days, period in which it is expected that a formal judicial process to be opened, he said.

In conclusion he’s guilty, Landzaat could be sentenced to several years in prison, but “we have not yet reached that point,” said the spokesman.

The body was found by dogs private trackers in an area where they had found several items related to the case, according to the Dutch newspaper “De Telegraaf”.

Garcia’s daughters and stopped living with her mother in Sabadell and remain for now the care of the man’s parents.

The person familiar said the family told Efe that Garcia had allowed Landzaat visit girls in Spain and at a time when the mother was away he took them.

The Garcia family probably ask to be delivered, since custody was in the hands of his mother and both have a sister 21 who could take care of the girls, he explained this person.
