Party uruguayan Popular Unity pays tribute to Fidel Castro – Prensa Latina

02 December 2016, 20:49Montevideo, 2 oct (PL) The Party of Popular Unity (UP) of Uruguay, paid today tribute to the leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro, who recognised his ability indomitable fighting hard not only for Cuba, but by the peoples of the world.

at a ceremony held At the central Liberty Square of Montevideo, the speakers highlighted the solidarity of the cuban revolutionary and exemplified with the creation of the Latin american School of Medicine, where we have graduated thousands of young people from the most diverse corners of the planet.

Stressed the infinite love of the cuban people for their leader and pointed out that this ‘has always been clear who is responsible and therefore always resisted’ and faced all the attacks.

The cuban Revolution always put in the center the human being and therefore reached the best indexes in education, health, and everything referred to the social welfare, said.

speaking at the ceremony, the deputy UP Eduardo Rubio meant that this has a ‘value immeasurable’ and expressed that they feel the pride of being part of a political force that goes out to the street to pay homage to ‘all the letters’ to the most important figure in the more recent history of Latin America and the world.

he Said that it ‘makes us proud’ of belonging to that political force, in times in which a lot of people ‘resignation and hide’.

As a party, ” said Rubio, we need to become heirs of the conviction and optimism of revolutionary that always accompanied Fidel Castro, even in the most difficult moments.

Gonzalo Abella, a member of the national coalition of Popular Unity, stated to Prensa Latina that he saw two times to Fidel when he came to Cuba at the end of 1976: on the anniversary of the CDR and when the events of the cuban airliner in that killed 73 people.

he said that on both occasions he was impressed by the immense crowd gathered in the Plaza of the Revolution, that ‘I was really excited’, and recalled the phrase of Fidel, ‘When a people strong and manly to cry, injustice trembles’.
