Madrid, 7 dec (Sputnik). – The French minister of Foreign affairs, Jean-Marc Ayrault, claimed this Wednesday, the Catalan Government that respects its sovereignty and regretted that the resolution for independence adopted by the Parliament of Catalonia that is claimed for the integration of Roussillon French.
"It’s about the sovereignty of France, and because we respect the sovereignty of Spain, we asked everyone the same respect," said the French minister, who has remembered that this message was already moved to the Catalan authorities.
Catalonia has approved a declaration Wednesday on the right to self-determination of all territories of Catalan speech, including the "Catalunya del Nord", Eastern Pyrenees region in France, known as the Roussillon frenchman, who was part of Spain until the SEVENTEENTH century.
