Spanish monarchy suits XXI century: Philip VI – The Universal

The King of Spain, Philip VI said here today that the Spanish monarchy lives “a constant process of adaptation and renewal at the requirement that society demands of the century”.
 


 As he led a ceremony at the Royal Palace of imposition of 38 awards to civilian honor, the monarch recalled that on Friday a year of his proclamation as King of Spain is satisfied, so he said that at this time has worked with constitutional loyalty “full of hope and pride. ”
 


 


 “I have put all my efforts to honor the commitments made in my speech of proclamation and I reaffirmed my commitment to serving all Spaniards, a fully felt and shared by Queen vocation,” he said.
 


 


 He said it has been a year of “confidence in the future, for example to overcome that Spanish society has shown to an economic crisis unprecedented in our recent history.”
 


 


 He said he has been a year of “hope, because despite the difficulties and hardships of many Spaniards, still beating -and tightly striking a Spain that has great strength and solidity achieved through the efforts of all, something that certainly we recognize and value. ”
 


 


 “A year that has opened a new stage in the Parliamentary Monarchy in our history under a commitment to” renewed monarchy for a new time “I assumed in my speech to the Parliament,” he said.
 


 


 He clarified that his first year “was not nor is in any way-an end point or an end in itself,” but the Crown “must develop every day and always-task based on the principles of our legal system constitutional and commitment to all Spaniards. ”
 


 


 “A constant process of adaptation and renewal the high standards that society demands of the century”, he added.
 


 


 With these words, Philip VI recalled his first anniversary as head of the Spanish state, and in this act gave awards to 38 people (22 men and 16 women) for their daily work, including a Paraguayan immigrant and one Moroccan.
