Attack in France: a fireman stopped the terrorist – TN.com.ar

fireman stopped the bomber today in a gas plant in the town of Saint-Quentin-Fallavier, near Lyon (west central, second largest city in France), the minister said French Interior Bernard Cazeneuve told reporters. The terrorist was identified as Yassin Salhi and had been signed by the authorities in 2006 for his radicalization.

The man, 35, was linked with Salafist movements was surveillance by intelligence services from 2006 to 2008 but “not identified to participate in terrorist activities”. However, the native man from Saint-Priest, on the outskirts of Lyon, no criminal record , Cazeneuve said.



The minister also praised the “courage” and “cold-blooded” Firefighter arrested Salhi, who beheaded a man and caused an explosion at the plant that left two injured .

Cazeneuve, who said it is a crime “terrorist nature”, said several persons associated Salhi were arrested to know if there were more people involved in the attack.
