The Civil Guard have intercepted this Sabbath a patera in which traveling immigrants from sub-Saharan origin 21 , including eight women, who aimed to reach Melilla.
As indicated by the Government Office, the boat was spotted about 11:00 pm with the Border Service of the Civil Guard Waterproofing towards the beach, so he activated “to rescue” the Panel Underwater (GEAS) of the Armed Forces Institute .
The boat was intercepted before it got deep into Melilla coast and, after checking the status of immigrants, launched the protocol established to take charge of it did the Moroccan Gendarmerie.
According to Efe has been found for a few minutes, the boat they were traveling immigrants has remained escorted by the Civil Guard , until finally the Moroccan authorities have moved to Beni Enzar port.
The Government Office says some immigrants have expressed “violent attitude” , reaching assaulting a policeman with an oar, by which has been slightly wounded in the hand.
So far this year, a total of eight boats have gained access to Melilla with a 170 immigrants on board , the last of them on 3 June with 24 sub-Saharan.
