An earthquake of 6.3 degrees was recorded in the Alboran Sea, Spain – Televisa News

MADRID, Esapaña, Jan. 25, 2016.- An earthquake of 6.3 magnitude on the Richter scale was registered early this morning in the Alboran Sea and was felt in southern Spain and northern Morocco.

According to the Spain National Geographic Institute, the quake occurred at 04:22 hours in waters near Al Hoceima, Morocco, at a depth of 10 kilometers, although initially reported it was 5.6 degrees.

Another earthquake of lesser magnitude, 3.2 degrees, occurred at 03:14 hours of the morning in the same area, according to the Spanish Institute.

Meanwhile, the US Geological Survey (USGS ) was estimated at 6.1-magnitude earthquake, which located 62 kilometers from Al Hoceima at a depth of 10 kilometers.
