Badajoz goodbye to Garcia Aracil – Infovaticana

Only 13 days after he had served 75 years the Holy See has accepted the resignation of Archbishop of Badajoz. D. having Celso Morga in his coadjutor, his succession is automatic.

Santiago García Aracil born in the city of Valencia on 8 May 1940. He attended high school studies, philosophy and theology at the Metropolitan Seminary of the Archdiocese. . The September 21, 1963 was ordained

After a course of pastoral practice in a suburb of Valencia (Parish of Saint-Denis), was appointed treasurer of Penáguila cure and Benifallim; two small parishes located in the foothills of the Aitana mountains, bordering the diocese of Alicante.

After more than a year was assigned to the Royal College of Corpus Christi, founded by San Juan de Ribera, to take charge the liturgy of the Chapel.

Over the following years, and cumulatively, he was appointed chaplain of the female Cultural institution “Domus” -during five years and diocesan chaplain of the Student Youth Catholic middle and University Education of Catholic Action.
