Madrid.- President Spanish government, Mariano Rajoy, said today that Europe plays its prestige if it fails in its attempt to avoid tragedies like the sinking of a boat carrying 700 immigrants in the Mediterranean Sea.

“It’s an answer you have to come from Europe, not worth the words, we must act. We played our credit if we are not able to face these dramatic situations, “said the president in an act of the ruling Popular Party (PP) in Alicante, eastern Spain.

He noted that Spain has suffered similar situations to suffering now Italy, and “no country in the world, powerful and strong he is and means available that can cope only these events.”

“Spain always be in Europe to battle and to respond to this humanitarian tragedy,” he explained.
