MADRID, jan 23 (Xinhua) — Spain has received a total of 1.034 refugees, following the arrival today of 55 from Greece, in compliance of the relocation programme of the European Union (EU) to address the humanitarian consequences of the war in Syria, reported the Ministry of the Interior.
The entity indicated that of this number (55), 36 refugees are syrian national and 19, of iraqi nationality, at the time that the group is composed of 22 men, 11 women and 22 children under age, who shall be divided in the different Spanish provinces.
Of 1.034 refugees that has received Spain as applicants for international protection, 745, what are track relocation and 289 for resettlement.
The Spanish system of reception and integration of applicants for international protection offered to the beneficiaries of the stay in a centre, both from the Ministry of Employment and Social Security, as of
these refugees are guaranteed housing, food, legal assistance, and psychological, social care and advice.
Have at the same time to support schools, health and social public type, as well as of teaching in this case of the Spanish language. End
