Detained two suspected jihadists in Ceuta – Deutsche Welle

The Guardia Civil arrested this Friday (13.01.2017) to two individuals for crimes of terrorism and related to the self-proclaimed Islamic State in the Spanish enclave of Ceuta, located in north Africa. According to the Spanish Ministry of Interior said in a statement, the detainees had undergone “a long process of radicalization” and were part of a group that had taken “to a very high level of determination” to carry out “terrorist activities”. The agents began six records in the home and local detainees for evidence and weapons. The research focused on “environments extremists of Ceuta”, led to the Civil Guard to find a group “in an advanced stage of radicalization in the ideology jihadist”. Ce uta is one of the hot spots for the recruitment of jihadists in Europe, according to a report prepared by the Centre for Combating Terrorism (CTC) of the united states military academy of West Point.
