Philip VI of Spain revoked the Right who had his sister Infanta Cristina to use the title Duchess of Palma de Mallorca , announced the King’s House.
The decision is specified in a Royal Decree , signed by the Spanish Prime Minister, Mariano Rajoy, and the own Monarch , which will publish tomorrow the Official Gazette (BOE).
The sister of King was Duchess from 1997 , by order of his father, the then King Juan Carlos I.
The Royal Family has advance the publication of the standard , dated today, without elaborating on the reasons of the decision taken by the Monarch.
In the title, the decree appears in the BOE morning, very brief, specified that their number is 470/2015 and that through him “ the award is revoked Her Royal Highness Princess Cristina of the power to use the title of Duchess of Palma de Mallorca “.
Since the publication of the decree, the older sister of Felipe VI you can no longer use the title, nor her husband, Inaki Urdangarin , which . enjoyed the provided Duke of Palma de Mallorca (EFE)
